Blogger’s Meet at The Swiss Laundry
Until 1st of july, we did not have a clear idea of what exactly blogger’s meet meant. But we knew it was important to educate the mass about the textile care sector and they were the best for this purpose.
The day was dedicated to showcase the journey of garments at TSL with each stage being explained in details. 
First stage- Attention
The stage was all about checking our guests garments properly before processing it. It is very important to know the type of fabric, the problem if any with the garment and which technique would be best suited for the garment
Second stage- Marking
Every garment is tagged with all the necessary information related to processing it and making sure that no two client’s garments are mixed or misplaced. These tags are all waterproof and remain as it is till the end of all processes. The bloggers all found it very interesting and were eager to know all about this stage

Third Stage- Segregation
One of the most important stages where we segregate the different garments on the basis of the type of fabric, the color, the process that it has to undergo. It is very important to not mix the garments and study them all well because all the other stages are highly dependent on this stage.
Segregation is something that we all do at our home also, washing the whites separately from the rest of the clothes.
Fourth Stage- Spotting
It was one of the most fascinating techniques for all our guests. But hold on.. It is one of the most difficult process too. Understanding the stain, using the appropriate chemical on it and making sure the stain is removed while the garment is preserved. Yes, that’s called spotting!

Fifth Stage- Cleaning
After spotting, the garments are cleaned as per their texture. The Swiss laundry follows two techniques of cleaning- Dry clean and Wet wash. Dry clean is further divided into perc dry cleaning and hydrocarbon dry cleaning. The variety in fabrics is so vast and designer wear is so popular now that within a year from when we started we had to get the latest technology of dry cleaning-hydrocarbon to India to make sure we preserve our client’s garments.
Sixth Stage- Finishing/Ironing
Yes, we make sure your garments reach you in the most crisp form and for that we use steam iron for your precious garments.
Seventh Stage- Quality check
One final check before we approve the garment as ready to reach your door step. A check for stain, proper cleaning and proper ironing.
Eighth Stage- Packaging
The final touch done The Swiss Laundry way. One would surely be happy to see their garment being delivered the way we send them. Proper packaging with information about fashion industry is what reaches your door step!
